September project update

We have our first chick!

Working with 5 Rivers NRM and Carnabys Crusaders, we installed 5 nest boxes in the project region in August. These were all investigated by breeding pairs within a few days, and we had the first egg laid 10 days later.

This really shows Carnabys are suffering from a critical shortage of nesting sites.

Little Carly hatched late in the evening of Monday 28th September, with Mum keeping them nice and snug and warm overnight before bringing an excited Dad back to see them in the morning.

One week to Waroona Show.

Just six more sleeps until Australia's largest 1-day agricultural show happens in Waroona!

See our new baby Carly in a live-stream their nest, learn how to build your own next box and get tips from gardening expert Sabria Hahn. Plus all the fun of this amazing annual show!

Event programs, exhibitor lists and more here!

You all really are nuts about Carnabys!

With over 1,000 registrations for Macadamia trees in less than 3 days, we were literally overwhelmed with your response!

We are organising another (larger!) round for April/May next. We would do this earlier, but we have already cleared out the growers of ready-to-ship plants of these fast-fruiting cultivars.

So stay tuned for details of the 2027 program!
